Matt Salvage – Instructor

I began my martial arts journey in 2013, but my passion for combat sports started as a teenager when I trained in karate. Since then, I’ve immersed myself in kickboxing and boxing, earning my black belt (1st Dan) in 2021. Along the way, I’ve built a career in running gyms, leading classes of up to 30 people, and earning certifications in Hatton Academy Boxing Fundamentals Levels 1, 2, and Elite Level 3.

I’m also a BMABA-registered instructor and hold First Aid training, ensuring a safe and professional training environment for all my students. With my Safeguarding Lead qualification, I’m experienced in working with vulnerable children and adults, offering inclusive and supportive training for everyone.

A defining moment of my journey was training kids in Nepal, where I saw first hand the transformative power of martial arts. These experiences shaped my coaching philosophy—helping others grow both physically and mentally through tailored training and discipline.
